At Five Elements Mountain we offer an adult program which is best described as Chinese mixed martial arts. It is our feeling that although Karate is a wonderful art, it is not well suited to adults and seniors. The Chinese arts are "softer" and have an emphasis on wellness. It is for this reason that our adult program consists of a principle-based training that incorporates a variety of Chinese training methods which draw from Wing Chun, Choy Le Fut, and the Chinese internal arts of Tai Chi, Hsing I and Pa Qua.
This is a high energy class and we do a good deal of body conditioning (hitting things). This class involves strength training utilizing a variety of disciplines including free weights, kettlebells, club bells and body weight exercises.
